November updates and celebrating the holidays safely

As November brings colder weather and the start of the holiday season, and we think about gathering with family, we also know that safety is at the forefront of our minds.  The Binaxnow at home rapid COVID tests continue to be available for purchase via pharmacies, Amazon, and a variety of other retailers.  While these tests are not perfect, they can provide a measure of confidence when thinking about how to plan for possible gatherings.  We continue to advise mask wearing when indoors and within 6 feet of others from mixed households, particularly if you do not know their vaccination status.  Following the CDC guidelines for safer gatherings is the best approach.  We also encourage all eligible members to obtain their COVID vaccine booster and their flu vaccine if they have not already done so.  COVID vaccination for children ages 5-11 has now been approved by the FDA and is expected to be approved by the CDC on November 2nd.
