Book Series Masterclass: Calm Your Mind with Food

We are excited to announce our upcoming 4-week book masterclass series focused on the groundbreaking work, "Calm Your Mind with Food: A Revolutionary Guide to Controlling Your Anxiety" by Dr. Uma Naidoo, a world-renowned leading expert in Nutritional Psychiatry.

Synergy Private Health's Lifestyle Coach Debra Woods will provide expert-facilitation for this series, supporting members in tailoring recommendations to meet their personal health and wellness goals. 

What’s included:

  • Four, weekly 60-minute virtual group sessions

    • Thursdays: February 5, 12, 19, 26

    • 12-1pm ET via Zoom

    • The Zoom meeting room will remain open for 15 minutes following the session for attendees to share any additional questions or thoughts.

    • Dr. Uma Naidoo will join the kick-off session on February 5th!

  • Utilizes 4 annual coaching sessions

What topics will we cover in each session?

  • Session 1 - Introduction: Meet Dr. Naidoo when she joins us for the first session to introduce her book and important work.  

  • Session 2 - The Problem: Understand the connection between the modern diet and mental un-wellness (e.g., inflammation, gut-brain axis). The “Why.”

  • Session 3 - The Solution: Discover key nutritional strategies and calming foods. The "What" to eat.  

  • Session 4 - The Protocol: Create a personalized, practical plan to implement the changes. The "How-To."  

Uma Naidoo, MD, is a board-certified Harvard nutritional psychiatrist, professional chef and nutritional biologist. She is the founder and director of the first hospital-based nutritional and metabolic psychiatry service in the United States, at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She also serves as the director of Nutritional Psychiatry at MGH Academy. Dr. Naidoo serves on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Department of Nutrition, and is an instructor at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. Dr. Naidoo is the bestselling author Calm Your Mind with Food and This is Your Brain on Food
